The Norfolk Model Helicopter Club attend various events through the year.

On the 26th May the helicopter club attended the fete at Longwater Lane. Happy, Glen, Alan & I were there, the weather was good and a lot of people there.

Bob the Builder & his co-pilot Wendy were a huge success - you had to be there.

The display was a static one but a large number of people commented on the display of helicopters there.

Saturday the 12th July the club attended the fete at Earlham Academy, the usual suspects attended to support the club. Once again Bob the Builder & his co-pilot Wendy were a huge success.

Flying was allowed this time & flights were undertaken by Alan, Glen & myself.

We were well looked after by the Staff who gave us tea, coffee, cakes & sausage rolls. Many thanks to them.

Sunday the 7th September 2014 saw us at the Seething Airshow.  This was a static display with a good turn out to support the club.

Bob the Builder & his co-pilot Wendy were in attendance, much to the delight of the public, both younger and older.  Lots of interest from the public as usual & we even wore poor old Alan out, it was too much for him and he had to sit down in his chair for an afternoon nap

Flying displays were by:- The BBMF C-47 Dakota, Mark Jefferies’ Extra 330SC, P51 Mustang, Lauren Richardson’s Pitts Special, B25 Mitchell, Wildcats Formation Aerobatics, The L-29 Soviet Jet, The T-6 Texan, The Breitling Wingwalkers, The Air Ambulance & a Dragonfly came in place of the Spitfire which had suffered from mechanical problems & couldn’t make it.

On Saturday the 25th October 2014 the club attended The Lowestoft Model Engineering and Model Making Exhibition at Pakefield High School. Happy, Glen, Alan, Ron & myself were there to tend the stall, drink tea & coffee, eat bacon rolls and all the other good stuff.

Bob the Builder & his co-pilot Wendy were, sadly, unable to attend but I do believe he sent his apologies.

Lots of really nice engineering & models to look at, Acle flying club came over to say hello, they had a stand there too.

Alan’s air ambulance had a flight outside in the windy conditions, to the delight of the crowd. Unfortunately a bad vibration on the tail prevented any further flying displays.

If you would like us to attend your fete or show then please visit our Contact Us page however please note that in order for us to be able to fly we need a significant area free from people, property or animals (we can navigate around the odd tree or bush) and 30 meters from the crowd.
